Abstrak

This article aims to explore how the independent curriculum can be an effective tool to strengthen student independence in the context of education. Using a case study approach, this research analyzes the process of internalizing the values of independence in learning through the implementation of the independent curriculum. Through a review of the literature and field studies, this research highlights the important role of the independent curriculum in promoting student independence, which includes the development of independent skills, problem-solving, and initiative in the learning process. The research findings indicate that the independent curriculum provides a strong foundation for students to take an active role in the learning process, facilitating holistic personal and academic growth. This study also identifies challenges and opportunities in the implementation of the independent curriculum, and offers strategic recommendations to strengthen the integration of independence values in the educational curriculum. In conclusion, this article highlights the urgency of supporting the independent curriculum as the main means to develop student independence, preparing them for the challenges of an ever-evolving world.
