This article discusses the important role of the problem-solving approach in bridging the gap between the complex influence of social media and the declining motivation to learn among students. By highlighting the challenges faced by students due to excessive use of social media, this research offers effective problem-solving strategies to address this issue. Through a targeted and measurable approach, the article explores how teaching problem-solving skills can encourage students to understand the impact of social media on their learning motivation. Through evidence-based analysis and case studies, this article proposes concrete steps that can be adopted by educational institutions and individuals to ensure that social media is used as a beneficial tool in enhancing learning motivation, rather than as a detrimental distraction. In conclusion, the problem-solving approach has great potential to empower students to intelligently confront the influence of social media and maintain sustainable learning motivation.
