Abstract

Al-Quran is the first and main guide for Muslims. The Qur'an is a guide for humans which is one of the fundamental standards in human existence. Al-Quran comes with instructions, explanations and concepts that are concluded in various problems. The historical background of the Qur'an descended gradually over a period of approximately 22 years, 2 months and 22 days. The Quran was revealed in two periods, Mecca and Medina. The Koran in the orientalist view is not only limited to examining its authenticity, but its assumption is that it opposes the Koran which relies on Christians and Jews. This is the reaction of the Qur'anic researchers, as indicated by Sheikh Muhammad Naqui al-Attas. The Qur'an uses vocabulary from unknown foreign languages ​​such as Judaism and Christianity does not mean Islam is dependent.
