Language plays an important role as a means of communication both oral and written in the fulfillment of all human needs. Language is also a means for humans to express themselves, their hearts, feelings, and thoughts. For this reason, language needs to be learned and trained so that it can be mastered well by each individual. Senior High School students are no exception. Various knowledge and language skills are learned and practiced. Among them are narrative writing skills, namely writing a story based on time order. This type of narrative writing is easier to do because it comes from personal experience or imagination. However, if it is only taught as a theory and without practice with intensive guidance, students will still encounter obstacles. There are various ways that teachers can do creatively. One of them is by developing image media to assist students in writing narratives. Through this research, the process of developing and validating image media for learning to write narratives is described in the tenth grade of senior high school. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation and validation. Media development is carried out using the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) procedure. Furthermore, validation is carried out by material experts and media experts. The results of the study, namely a score of 82.5% for the material and a score of 78.6% for the developed media, indicate that both of them meet the criteria for use in teaching narrative writing in grade X Senior High School.
